PRESCHOOLERS Visit the Memory Lane

 

This week, the Preschoolers have been Tuning In with our unit on Personal Histories.
We unlocked words in our central idea and talked about their understanding and connections with the words. 


To find our what they already know about the unit and their personal history, preschoolers played the 'Roll a Memory' game. They had so much fun sharing about their own stories and experiences to the class.



Wonderings, the most important part of the Tuning In which will guide the inquiry! The preschoolers posted the questions that they are wondering about.

Next week, Preschoolers will start Finding Out more about the Unit.

Entering the world of imagination

Children use imagination to write poems and create artworks in wonderfully instinctive and unfiltered ways.  They are not constrained by thinking or grammar rules and truly believe simple things in life.  This kind of imaginative freedom allows them to create words and images that we might not even consider. They use personal experience and reimagine things. They write freely without filter and   mix real life with fantasy to create rich, expressive writing. They can use this form of writing to develop self-confidence and connections with themselves and others.  In Artwork, they use their creative imagination to create symbolic representation that we, as adults, could never have imagined.  Children represent the world how they feel it, not just how they see it.  Their artworks become a portal to an entirely new worlds.
