Story Book

\ Narrating their own history in a form of a story,  is a way to keep it in their memory. It seems like yesterday when these amazing students joined my preschool class. I remember them - being nervous but excited to find out what primary school would be like.  Since then it has been an awesome school year with them.  They learned so much about themselves and were all brave to write about it.  As young writers, I remember how we started.... letters,  sounds,  stringing sounds,  phrases,  sentences, paragraphs... Now, a book. But this isn't JUST a book.  It is authentically theirs. It is a special book that tells about their journey from where they are now.  It tells about the memories, changes and growth.  It reveals their thoughts, dreams and successes.  It proves that they, who used to only care about milk, sleep or play have grown into marvellous independent young persons.  These stories are treasures. PRESCHOOLERS and The Things They Value

Literacy: Writer's Workshop The preschoolers wrote a personal narrative to tell a story about the important milestones and events that happened in their life.  Following the Writer's Workshop, they planned, wrote a draft, edited and wrote the final story.      Here is the finished book ready for publishing! Unit of Inquiry (UOI) Celebrations, Cultures, Values, and Beliefs The Preschoolers explored different celebrations. During the picture walk, they signed up their names on the ones that they celebrate with their family.    We even played charade and acted out words that are connected to our topic!  The preschoolers had so much fun!  The preschoolers had so much fun!  COAT OF ARMS ...
