Holidays around the corner

As the holidays come closer, DSKI parents and students have been busily preparing!  The christmas tree started empty but has slowly decorated with colorful ornaments created by the students . The preschoolers created an elf with a photo of them.  Each of the students carefully chose a spot to hang their ornament. Then we each watched as they carefully planted it on the tree.     We are looking forward for the christmas tree lighting event on Monday! We will also receive the Advent Calendar, a gift from the PTA and will start counting down the days until Christmas!

Preschool The Animal Exhibit The preschoolers celebrated their inquiry on the idea that, all living things go through a process of change through the Animal Exhibit.  As COMMUNICATORS, they presented their works to the school community.        Pointing out the different animal body parts and its use for survival.    Read the fictional story they wrote about the animal. Through their research, they were able to gather information and became experts on a specific animal.   They explained how the animals change and grow through a life cycle.    They also showed how energy is transferred from one living thing to the next through a food chain visual presentation.  Finally, everyone was so excited to be a part of their journey in Preschool.  Parents came and celebrated with the preschoolers!        Preschoolers' chosen animals: Eda - Seal Shunki - Bear   Taichi - Shark Rino - Cat Rose - Labrador   Sophi...
