Communicators


This week was full of exciting activities at school!

We were lucky to meet the EXPO 2025 mascot 'Myaku Myaku' and had a photo with it. 


In preparation for their presentation on Monday, the students shared their works with the Grade 1 students. They explained their work process and what they have learned in the unit 


Some of them were nervous and shy, but all have been risk-takers! 


They confidently talked and proudly showed their communication skill by speaking in front of the audience. 


They were also asked questions by the Grade 1 students, which helped them a lot with their presentation skills. 


We are excited to see you all on Monday from 9:00 - 10:00  as they will finally share their culture and everything they have worked for in the unit on "Who We Are".


 

As part of the celebration on International Book Week, the whole school had the D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) time. 


Our young readers took time as they browsed and read the books they brought from home. 


What a feast to see how they have changed and developed as learners in preschool.

PRESCHOOLERS and their FAMILIES

  The FAMILY TREE helps the Preschoolers understand the relationship of each members of their family. This representation helps them understand the roles of the mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, and cousins play in their life history.  The Preschoolers continued to inquire about the personal histories of their family. They worked on their own Family Tree and have started SORTING OUT information that they have gathered from the interview with their parents, discussions and their own knowledge about the members of their family.          They have also made a visual representation of who lives in our home.  Before the Golden week, they did a series mapping exercise.  The place where they have lived or where they have travelled. Night of the Student Led Conference

Preschoolers practice for their upcoming Student Led Conference (SLC) by engaging in mock sessions with peers and teachers. These practices help the students build confidence as they learn to talk about their artwork, classroom routines, and personal growth.  Using the checklist prompted by visuals like portfolios and photo displays, preschoolers explain their learning journey in simple, meaningful ways. Practicing ahead of the actual conference allows them to feel prepared and proud to share with their families.  It fosters communication skills, independence, and a strong sense of ownership over their learning — all foundational for future academic and social success.
