What are the important things for us?

Biography is a fascinating read for children. They love hearing stories about other people and making connections to how these people lived. 


Biographies are fantastic ways to make children understand that everyone is different but at the same time, we also have similarities. 

Since the preschoolers are emerging writers, the easiest way to motivate them is to write something about themselves. 


With the support from all the conversations and discussions at home at school, preschoolers were able to learn a little bit about themselves. 

They told their history through their biography. 

It was a struggle and they realized that some of them can do it, but others still can't. But that's okay, it is all a part of growth and change. 

They will continue working on it and try their best, but it will take time and in the end they might be able to celebrate another milestone - as publishers!

Entering the world of imagination

Children use imagination to write poems and create artworks in wonderfully instinctive and unfiltered ways.  They are not constrained by thinking or grammar rules and truly believe simple things in life.  This kind of imaginative freedom allows them to create words and images that we might not even consider. They use personal experience and reimagine things. They write freely without filter and   mix real life with fantasy to create rich, expressive writing. They can use this form of writing to develop self-confidence and connections with themselves and others.  In Artwork, they use their creative imagination to create symbolic representation that we, as adults, could never have imagined.  Children represent the world how they feel it, not just how they see it.  Their artworks become a portal to an entirely new worlds.
