Celebrating Growth

Sorting Out our Personal Histories by inquiring about the other members of our extended family.

As we learn about the people in our ancestry, we will discover what, where, who of how it led to the preschoolers.

They will see their connection with these people as to who they are and later learn a bit of information about them.

They will also unravel some of the common traits and abilities they personally have. This might have been influenced not directly by their parents, but could also be from the other members of their family.

The students are encouraged to explore their creativity when creating a visual representation of their Family Tree.

A solar system, garden, fruit-bearing tree, or the sky - they were risk-takers and took different ways to express their originality.

They have also worked on a Venn Diagram to explore similarities and differences among themselves.

By asking questions to their partners, they were able to learn more about each other. This helped develop their communication skills and critical thinking skills.

Socially, they were also able to communicate and enjoy working with other students that they have not usually played or worked with.

An evidence that they are changing and growing up as responsible children.

We also enjoyed a wonderful gardening activity this morning outside the green patch!!

Night of the Student Led Conference

Preschoolers practice for their upcoming Student Led Conference (SLC) by engaging in mock sessions with peers and teachers. These practices help the students build confidence as they learn to talk about their artwork, classroom routines, and personal growth.  Using the checklist prompted by visuals like portfolios and photo displays, preschoolers explain their learning journey in simple, meaningful ways. Practicing ahead of the actual conference allows them to feel prepared and proud to share with their families.  It fosters communication skills, independence, and a strong sense of ownership over their learning — all foundational for future academic and social success. During the actual Student Led Conference, preschoolers experienced a range of emotions. Some felt nervous facing their parents, while others were visibly tired or overwhelmed by the attention.  A few needed gentle support to stay engaged. On the other hand, many confidently shared their work, explained clas...

Meet the Animals

Students have been actively engaged in preparing for our upcoming Animal Exhibit, showcasing their learning through research, creativity, and collaboration. Each student selected an animal of interest, explored its habitat, diet, and unique adaptations, and created a visual display to share their findings. This week the preschoolers worked in teams to group animals according to their natural habitats—such as grassland, fresh water, polar region, ocean, and forest.  Together, they collaborated to research the features and designed a small-scale habitat that reflect the unique features of each ecosystem. This group project fostered teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity as students and teachers combined their knowledge and ideas to create cohesive, informative, and visually engaging designs.  The final displays beautifully showcase both the diversity of animal life and the power of collaboration. As part of the preparation, preschoolers will practice presentation skills and t...
