WHAT HAPPENS IF....

Cause and Effect

Every problem has a solution and there can be many solutions to a problem.
Every solution has a consequence and it might be a positive or a negative one.

Because of this, It is important for the preschoolers to understand:

How our character and personality affect the choices we make.
OR
How our character and personality may be affected by the choices we make.

This week, the preschoolers have been exposed to many different situations that show them the concept of cause and effect.

They are beginning to understand the idea that 'CAUSE' is the REASON why something happened and that EFFECT is the 'RESULT' of what happened.

They did a sorting activity wherein they decided if the photo is a cause, or, effect.  Once they have decided, they needed to provide a reason or a result. In this activity, the preschoolers realized that the photos CAN either be a cause or an effect.

T
Actions towards others will receive a reaction.

and a certain effect towards others....

Some problems may be difficult to find a solution.
And it is always difficult to find the balance.

But when this happens, this is when our character and personality guide us -
we can either try again or just give up!

Night of the Student Led Conference

Preschoolers practice for their upcoming Student Led Conference (SLC) by engaging in mock sessions with peers and teachers. These practices help the students build confidence as they learn to talk about their artwork, classroom routines, and personal growth.  Using the checklist prompted by visuals like portfolios and photo displays, preschoolers explain their learning journey in simple, meaningful ways. Practicing ahead of the actual conference allows them to feel prepared and proud to share with their families.  It fosters communication skills, independence, and a strong sense of ownership over their learning — all foundational for future academic and social success. During the actual Student Led Conference, preschoolers experienced a range of emotions. Some felt nervous facing their parents, while others were visibly tired or overwhelmed by the attention.  A few needed gentle support to stay engaged. On the other hand, many confidently shared their work, explained clas...

Field Trip

FIELD TRIP Children who experience a holistic development during their younger school years grow up to become global citizens.  Taking the students out of the classroom  is important because it provides a balance between indoor and outdoor activities. It prepares them for what it is like in the real world.  As part of our unit on How The World Works which focuses on the science of living things, the preschoolers went out on a field trip to Rokkosan Pasture. In here, the students were immersed and had access to a different environment,  the farm habitat together with the animals who live there.  They experienced interactive learning by feeding and getting up close with these friendly and hungry goats. They observed how the animals shared space and played inside their homes. They were able to make connections on how they, as preschoolers socially interact with one another inside the classroom.   The parents who joined the trip also became the teachers a...
