  It's the most wonderful time of the year..... A week filled with merriment and excitement!  A time for celebration!  The preschoolers have finished the Advent Calendar and everyone was surprised to see Santa inside our room one afternoon.  He brought presents for the preschoolers!  ho ho ho ho... They were all on the 'nice list' ,but, Ms. Faye!  "hu hu hu hu", Ms. Faye Last day before the holidays, the students spent the morning listening, singing and dancing to different Christmas songs. They shared presents and ate treats too. The classroom was filled with laughter and beautiful chaos.  The students had a wonderful celebration with their friends, teachers and other DSKI students.    and... of course, there will always be a POPCORN Party!  The class also set up a table for the Christmas Market. They sold the 2023 Calendar with their beautiful artworks attached to it. Approximately 40 calendars were made by the students and almost everything was sold. The presch

Cause and Effect Every problem has a solution and there can be many solutions to a problem.  Every solution has a consequence and it might be a positive or a negative one.  Because of this, It is important for the preschoolers to understand: How our character and personality affect the choices we make. OR  How our character and personality may be affected by the choices we make. This week, the preschoolers have been exposed to many different situations that show them the concept of cause and effect.  They are beginning to understand the idea that ' CAUSE ' is the REASON why something happened and that  EFFECT  is the ' RESULT' of what happened.    They did a sorting activity wherein they decided if the photo is a cause, or, effect.  Once they have decided, they needed to provide a reason or a result. Someone who makes you smile when you are sad and helps you when you when other people are not nice to you.  Romantic People you love and care for so much and wants the best for the other person. They want to get to know each other, get married and start a family.  Acquaintances  Everyday we meet a lot of people in our lives. We talk to them, they help us in the community and sometimes we even play or work with them.
