How the world works

After Spring Break, the preschool will start with the new the unit on the transdisciplinary theme, How the World Works an inquiry on All living things go through a process of change.

They will look at the lines of inquiry about:

patterns of growth
stages of a life cycle
factors affecting change

Part of the learning process would be gaining an understanding of the concepts on causation, change and responsibility.

As they go through the inquiry they will learn to approach their learning by thinking, researching and communicating with each other.

This unit will help the students develop as a learner who is a thinker, inquirer and balanced.

Night of the Student Led Conference

Preschoolers practice for their upcoming Student Led Conference (SLC) by engaging in mock sessions with peers and teachers. These practices help the students build confidence as they learn to talk about their artwork, classroom routines, and personal growth. Using the checklist prompted by visuals like portfolios and photo displays, preschoolers explain their learning journey in simple, meaningful ways. Practicing ahead of the actual conference allows them to feel prepared and proud to share with their families. It fosters communication skills, independence, and a strong sense of ownership over their learning — all foundational for future academic and social success. Meet the Animals

Students have been actively engaged in preparing for our upcoming Animal Exhibit, showcasing their learning through research, creativity, and collaboration. Each student selected an animal of interest, explored its habitat, diet, and unique adaptations, and created a visual display to share their findings. This week the preschoolers worked in teams to group animals according to their natural habitats—such as grassland, fresh water, polar region, ocean, and forest. Together, they collaborated to research the features and designed a small-scale habitat that reflect the unique features of each ecosystem. This group project fostered teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity as students and teachers combined their knowledge and ideas to create cohesive, informative, and visually engaging designs.
