As they look back at their past, they also begin to share, compare and understand different perspectives of people. They notice how each and every one of them grow, develop and how families are unique in many ways. They created a simple visual representation of their home and those who lives in it. It is necessary for them to understand the importance of these family members in their lives. Celebration: 100th Day in Preschool

"Ms. Faye survived 100 days of ME! " - Perky Preschool - 100th Day in Preschool It may sound like an ordinary day for everyone at DSKI, but not for the preschoolers.  This day was a special event and a reason to celebrate.  The 100th day marks a special opportunity for them to celebrate major milestone in their academic achievement!  To celebrate their 100th day, the preschoolers did several stations:  Literacy, Numeracy, PE, Arts and UOI!   They started decorating the 100 day smarter head band which they proudly wore the whole time around the school. They also brought 100 different things to school and counted them one by one. Making sure that it wasn't less or more than 100. Personal Stories Come Alive

Lewis Memory Box The 'Memory Box' is designed to give the students their voice and choice on selecting the things that tell a story about them.  It gives everyone a glimpse of their personal histories from the objects and memories shared to them by their parents.  These stories told by their parents become alive and meaningful after sharing it with others. The students make connections, which grow into a beautiful narration of their life.  And in that moment, their stories become a reality.   Stories and Objects Two wonderful memories they brought from their childhood with them.
