PRESCHOOLERS are Self-Confident

  This is such and exciting week for the Perky Preschoolers!  The students had their Book Publishing and Author's Interview last Monday.  They are now proud authors and illustrators!  They confidently read their stories to the class and answered questions which proved that Preschoolers are THINKERS!  Here is a teaser video of their Book Publishing.  Preschoolers Decorating our classroom door.   HAPPY HALLOWEEN from Perky Preschoolers! PRESCHOOLERS are Readers

PATTERNS   Preschoolers looked at PATTERNS this week for Numeracy. However, they realised that Patterns can be seen everywhere. That led us to hunting for Patterns around the school.   We found patterns in NUMBERS     We found patterns in  WORDS.   A short video of preschoolers talking and discussing how they should sort the words into patterns.     Finally, they made patterns using  COLORS. BOOK/PICTURE WALK This is a shared reading activity that we do prior to reading a book. It is important that students understand the different parts of a book. PRESCHOOLERS practice SELF-MANAGEMENT

 UNIT OF INQUIRY Preschoolers are GOING FURTHER in their INQUIRY about Roles and Responsibilities.  They are making sure that they have enough information and questions are answered. They used several resources such as books, videos and pictures to find the answers.        They have also started with their project. They are writing their informational book and will launch their First Publishing Party and interview with the Author.    CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING IN NUMERACY Preschoolers is now starting to see and understand the relationship and interconnectedness of numbers in different ways. Using different manipulatives, they are able to make their thinking visible. Preschoolers are RESEARCHERS

UNIT OF INQUIRY This week, preschoolers are gathering more information about their chosen Community Helper. They have started their RESEARCH  about.. What they DO .. What they WEAR .. What they USE ... What they RIDE ON ..   Yes, Preschoolers are RESEARCHERS ! They looked at books and wrote the information they have gathered. TRIP TO HYOGO POLICE STATION The preschoolers also went to the Police Station to get more information about the roles and responsibilities of the police.    One role of the a police officer is to ensure that people are SAFE. They taught preschoolers how to cross the street and look at the stop lights.        They also experienced how it feels like riding the coolest POLICE BIKE!!  SPEAKER Maria's Mom, Darya who is also a teacher came to school today to talk about her job as an EFL Teacher.
